Periodontic Advice

A Periodontics Specialist works solely with the prevention and treatment of the tissues which support the teeth (periodontium) such as the gums and the underlying bone including gum disease, gingivitis and periodontitis. Dr Don Anderson is a general practice dentist who aims to use latest information and techniques to provide support, advice and relevant treatment to maintain periodontic health. This may include, where necessary, referral to a Periodontics specialist.

It is important to note that you may not experience any pain associated with periodontitis.

Symptoms may include:

• Inflamed gums - gums may bleed while brushing or flossing teeth 
• Red, swollen or tender gums
• Gums that have pulled away from the teeth
• Persistent bad breath
